Ngoho at the X-Games
X-Games XIIII had a new feature. the Superpark, which is basically a flow park similar to parks like Glendale, Lincoln City or West Linn. The BMX and skaters killed the thing. But this year, there was a special Legends demo jam in the Superpark consisting Pat Ngoho, Christian Hosoi, Steve Caballero, Mike McGill, Duane Peters, Ben Shroeder, Steve Steadham, Lester Kasai, Chris Miller, Tony Magnusson and Mike Rogers.

Legendary Steve Olson has a guest pro model with SMA. This speed deck is almost 36" and can be used as a longboard as well. The graphic is a replica of the handpaint that Olson owns in his collection that was dedicated to him.

SMA deck on the David Letterman Show

SMA Turns 30
Skip started Santa Monica Airlines 30 years ago in thw spring of 1978. To Celebrate this significance, all boards produced this year will come with a pearl plane marking the pearl anniversary. Rip City Skates in Santa Monica, also established in 1978, was Skip's very first customer that same year. Special commemerative T-shirts will be available in the near future.....


This special top graphic (pearl, silver, and black) will be on all the boards produced in 2008....
Concrete Disciples Death Race
Matt Boyster sweeps all the events at the Concrete Disciples Death Race at SkateLab. He took first in the AM Death Race and then got the opportunity to skate in the Pro Death Race and beat all the pros. He took Highest Wall Ride and Best Trick as well. more details...

Kanoa Flyaway Helmets
The Kanoa Flyaway helmet are now back in production, and co-sponsors the SMA team. These helmets are crafted from hand-laid surboard fiberglass with custom colored gel coat, custom paint, custom foam, D-rings and German vinyl. Most colors and stripe combinations including "aribrush "can be custom made to order.

Currrently, they are only available at Rip City in Santa Monica. Three helmets will be in stock there most times. Specific colors and stripe combinations can be custom ordered through Jim at (310) 828-0388.
